Dear Student,
On Friday, February 9, you will receive an email from Qualtrics/Isobar ([email protected]) inviting you to complete the Columbia LENS (Lived Experiences & Needs of Students) Survey.
This is an opportunity for you to let us know how Columbia can support our students. Your participation in this study is voluntary and will be kept strictly confidential.
The survey should take around 25 minutes to complete. Everyone who finishes the survey can choose to receive a $10 gift card and be entered into weekly drawings to win bigger prizes, including $200 gift cards!
What will I be asked?
This survey asks about various aspects of your well-being and other related experiences, including physical health; mental health; safety and security; connection and belonging; and campus resources. There is one required question (academic school/college affiliation), and you may skip any other question(s) you do not wish to answer.
Why does this matter?
This is an opportunity for you to share your lived experiences regarding your health & well-being as a Columbia student and to inform resources, policies, programming, and services for current and future Columbia students.
What happens to my data?
Your responses are confidential and your identity cannot be associated with your answers. Isobar is a professional survey administrator using an encrypted Qualtrics platform that will protect the privacy of your responses. Qualtrics/Isobar will provide Columbia with de-identified data when the survey process is complete. No one from Columbia will ever have access to data that is connected to your name, email address, or other identifying information.
I have a question. Who can I ask?
Visit the LENS Survey website for FAQs and other information about the survey. Reach out to the Columbia survey team at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
Thank you in advance for your participation, and keep a look out for the recruitment email from Qualtrics/Isobar around February 9, 2024.
Be well,
